The drama workshops engaged the members of the community to tell their own stories through creating their own skits that depict their realities.
The skits are performed in the community as well as holding public dialogues touching important issues such as sanitation, health and crime.
The community drama group was able to perform their skits at the Slum festival event creating excitement among the crowds.
The workshops focus on freedom of expression and social empowerment.
The initiative wishes to advance to staging the skits in other communities, and producing a theater play at the National Theater.
